4 Easy Step on How to Install
1)First, locate an area on the dashboard or overhead to mount the monitor. Make sure that it will not interfere with the driver’s view when driving and that the driver will have a good view of the monitor as needed.
2)Then locate an area where the camera can be mounted to provide the best possible view. The best choice would be as high as possible to maximize the view of the road behind you. After you have identified both locations review the brackets to determine where to drill the holes for mounting and cable access. Drill the holes, mount brackets and thread wires and cable through access hole.
3)Before putting any cables together it is best to test the cables. The monitor has a positive (red) a negative (black) and a reverse (blue) wires. You can connect the red wire directly to the ignition switch or to the back of the fuse box which ever is easier to you.
4)The red wire comes with an inline fuse to prevent any damage in the event of a short circuit. The black wire that is your ground it can be connected to ground wire from the vehicle. The blue wire that is connected to the position wire of reverse wire.
Notes
Cable routing that will be most of the time and a lot of planning is required to determine where and how you want to run the cable. When installing a car the most common way to route the cable is along the door cells rear of the vehicle. Now, when doing a van or a motorhome the most common way is straight though underneath the vehicle attaching it with hydraulic pipes. After, coming up the rear floor going attach the wall to enter the point in the camera. To seal the holes you could use a silicone sealant that is available in all hardware store it comes in tube. It is our recommendation to try getting an electronic diagram to the car you want to install. Electronic diagram will be obtained from a car dealer or an auto part store. Check with manufacture of the vehicle for detailed information.
